ABOUT IBHA

Who We Are

The Idaho Behavioral Health Association (IBHA) seeks to include all interested parties when discussing issues as an Idaho based collaborative statewide organization.  We further aim to collectively define issues through the lenses of the payers, providers, and patients as a way to break down silos and create more, and better outcomes. Serving as a hub for communication, collaboration, ingenuity, and data driven decision making that will better serve those in need in Idaho.

Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the entities we work with and finding ways to reach common goals in the behavioral health ecosystem in Idaho will help us achieve success. We also serve as a clearinghouse for resources, services, and as private nonprofit solution to bolster the work of the Idaho Behavioral Health Council. Working in unison with the state and maximizing the resources available to promote and sustain the work of the Council through education, collaboration, and advocacy when needed.

We believe the collective effort to work through this approach will help us, and the state of Idaho, better define terms, define the key goals and actions needed to support behavioral health in Idaho, and ensure all parties are informed and supported as they play a role in serving those in need. Regardless of how you fit in, please join us and become involved in the conversation.

VISION

IBHA establishes a comprehensive and cohesive network of Providers, Payers, and Patients, to help create systems of care that meet the mental and behavioral health needs of every Idahoan. Through this network, we can eliminate barriers to healthcare, remove stigmas surrounding mental and behavioral health, and create a state that values the importance of including mental and behavioral health in patient care.

MISSION

Idaho Behavioral Health Association works to create safe and accessible care for mental and behavioral health for the people of Idaho.
